Groups

Periodically, throughout the year, I offer non-therapeutic mindfulness based programming. This includes anything from weekly mindfulness meditation groups, to specific courses in stress reduction or mindful communication. Any current programming, along with fees and registration information, will be listed below. If you do not see what you’re looking for, or if you have questions about programming, feel free to reach out to me directly.

6-Week Mindfulness for Stress Management Group - Tuesdays 11:30 - 12:30 ET, February 18 - March 25, 2025

Feel like the wheels are coming off the bus? I’ll be the first to say that mindfulness can’t fix everything. But, it can be a helpful tool in everyday life and it can make a big difference in how we approach the most challenging of situations. Throughout my life, during times of upheaval, I have found my mindfulness practice provides a place to center, regroup, and connect with what matters most in my life. Research has shown that mindfulness practice can help with emotional regulation, interpersonal communication, and the physical and emotional symptoms of stress.

Group Overview

This weekly, non-therapeutic group will provide participants the opportunity to engage in mindful awareness and emotional grounding in a supportive environment. The one-hour Zoom meeting will include 10 minutes of learning, overview, and guidance on the mindfulness practice of the day, followed by a 30-35 minute mindfulness exercise (seated meditation, mindful movement, or body scan). The remaining 15 minutes will include opportunities for reflection. Each week, participants will be provided with an at-home recommendation for continuing their practice on their own.

Fee: $100. Space is limited to 20 participants.

Please note: This is not a therapy group. If you’re not sure if this group is the right fit for you, you’re experiencing a mental health concern or you are interested in pursuing individual therapy, please email me to set up a consultation call or for help accessing other resources or referrals. If you are currently my therapy client, you are not eligible to participate in this group. However, feel free to ask about how we can integrate the teachings of this group into our work together.

If you’re interested in learning more about mindfulness practice, my favorite “primer” is Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Wherever You Go There You Are. If you’re curious about the mindfulness meditations we will be using in the group, take a listen to some pre-recorded practices here.
